FAI Spar 5's 2018
Following on from the success enjoyed by the school last year we entered two Boys Teams and one Girls Teams in this year's competition.
Our Boys A team topped their group and qualified for the county final beating Kilcormac, Kinnity, Roscomroe and Carrig on the way. Wish us luck at the county final on April 12th.
Our Boys B team made up entirely of Boys from 4th class competed well and represented our school with great pride. They beat Kilcormac and Gaeilscoil Eiscir Riada . They were beaten narrowly by Ballyboy and a strong Clonlisk team which went on to top their group.
Congratulations to our first ever girls team who finished third overall, beating Kilcormac and Roscomroe before losing narrowly to Geashill and Carrig.
Congratulations to both St. Broghan’s teams who recently competed in the Offaly County finals. Congratulations to our team of Cormac Burke, Chara Dunne, Molly McEvoy, Sam Horgan, Bryan Cassidy, Clodagh Flood and Jack Casey who performed brilliantly and narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
Well done to our team of Conor Ging, Conor Melia, Colm Cunningham, Alex Conlan, Scott Brereton, Tadhg Conlan, Matthew Dunne and Callum O’Neill who were crowned Offaly Champions. This team will go on to represent the county at the Mid Leinster finals on Wednesday, 26th April in Portlaoise Leisure Centre.

Congratulations to the team on their performance finishing runner up in FAI Spar 5's Leinster competition. The boys were undefeated in Leinster and just lost out narrowly on a place in the All Ireland final. Thanks to all those who came to support us, it gave the team a huge lift.
